Sweeter

This is the third piece in my little "Sweet Secrets" series. One sold at Terzian (my gallery in Park City) last month, the other two ship out to Gallery One in Ohio today for their miniature show. The message behind the series is simple: love and sweet stuff. They were fun little paintings to paint. I had a song running through my mind when I painted this one. A line in the song goes, "She's just like you only sweeter." Just "sweeter" stuck on this one. (I have another idea for a painting that will use "Just like you only Sweeter" for it's title - another topic for another day.) I would like to be sweeter. A sweeter mom, a sweeter wife, sister, friend.. I'm also feeling the magic of Valentine's day coming on, it's one of my favorites. Romance, red and pink, love it. The other two pieces are "Sweet Secrets" (shown above) and "Love Birds".

I had Mr Dan Barney as my art teacher. I found your blog through Cassandra's blog. Thank you for being so inspiring! I have been reading your blog for about a week but this one on being sweeter really stuck out to me. I have been working on being a sweeter father to my dear heart little boys. Again thank you

Beautiful! Ok I need some inspiration. I need a good idea/theme for Catchers room. Monique suggested "The Little Prince" I like it but I don't know how I would decorate/paint the walls. It would be might sweet if you had some creative ideas to throw my way

Apparently you're not the only one! The two paintings I was sending out to Ohio got swiped off my porch just before UPS came to pick them up. It's a mystery and I'm trying not to think about it too much. At least until my head gets clear from this sickness I have had all week!!

oh, I am sooooo sad for you. I'm sorry you haven't been feeling good either to top it off. It's been going around here too.
Ok, provided you and I are both healthy next week, do you want to go to a coffee house in Ahwatukee and see some of my friends photos hanging there? I keep meaning to go but have gotten side tracked. I think it is up 'til the 11th.
