Windows of Heaven

I entered this piece into the Eighth International Art Competition: Remembering the Great Things of God.  The exhibition will be in the Conference Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from March through October.  Not only was it accepted into the exhibition, it won a purchase award!  Hooray.  The painting is called Windows of Heaven and you can click on this link to rewind and read what it is about.

What a very interesting idea for a painting. It has a poignancy - the impatience of the little girl while the mom knits her shirt and takes from herself to give to the little girl. Any mom who tries would understand that.

Hi, Emily,

I'm friends with Elise. I saw your piece at the exhibit opening - I was pretty sure it was you (couldn't remember last name), but I couldn't find you there. I also have a piece in the show, and through kindness of friends & family was able to travel from KY out to the show opening.

Congratulations - I wish I could have met you in person at the show.

Emily,

You don't know me, but this picture was mentioned in my stake conference today and I decided to look it up. I was wondering if there was any where I could purchase a copy, just a small one.
