On the little picture, I thought Mom was tying up a bow on the skirt but when I clicked it and brought up the bigger picture, I see she is unraveling her own clothes to knit a new one for her daughter. I. LOVE. this. Well done! Are you going to paint it? Or....RAFFLE IT OFF??????

I absolutely love this. I love the little attitude on Delia's face. It really shows all that mom's do for their children, even when it is not always appreciated. I really feel like taking my mom flowers right now. I'm sure she felt that way quite a few times with me growing up.

I love this drawing. It just sums up all the love that a mother has in the correction of her children and all the annoyance that a child has in being corrected.

This is what I love most about your art, Emily. Your ability to transmit so much feeling and meaning in your work with your symbolism! This is truly a stunning drawing! Even if you never paint it, I think this is my favorite!

Thanks for all the nice comments. I couldn't have asked for a better response to this drawing. I'll be painting this soon. I think it's obvious that this one will be dear to my heart. I'll write more about it once I get it going. Thanks, love you guys.
