I just made this almond milk with cardamom. It is a dream. Cardamom is one of my favorite flavors, up there with fennel and cinnamon. I got to use my mortar and pestle.
1 1/2 cups nuts (soaked 6-12 hours) 3 1/2 cups water 2 dates (soft and pitted) 1/2 teaspoon cardamom seeds (freshly ground) pinch of salt
Blend like mad (I have a blendtech which is very dear to my heart) and squeeze through a nut milk bag (or painter's straining bag). Voila! You can use the left-over pulp to make all sorts of goodies.

Just went through your blog updates that I had missed because I accidently deleted my friends list. I just fell in love with you all over again.
MMmmmm! I love it too. Cardamom ice cream is a fav of mine! You are always making such yummy things!
Recipe oh please. My daughter is gluten and dairy intolerant... (You always give such great tips.)
