Up from Moil and Toil

Today was one of those days. I just needed to get away from it, to climb up to the top of my ladder and breath for a minute. Above and away from the duties, chaos, responsibilities, and the constant need to uplift, encourage, and nurture others. These are all wonderful things, but sometimes... it's hard. The animal crackers crushed into the carpet can wait, as well as the disciplinary action of the crusher, while I climb to the very top of my ladder, perhaps under the guise of changing a light bulb, and have an unreachable moment to myself.

Sometimes I hide somewhere in my house and see how long it will take my kids to find me, just so I can have a few moments of peace.

Am I bad if I have those feelings almost daily? This one's so pretty, and I really like the chandelier.

I can completely relate. If I had a ladder I think my kids would just climb up after me. The only place I can get a moment of peace is if I lock myself in the bathroom.
So, if you are ever having one of those days and just need some time to yourself, call me and let me watch the girls while you take a break.

By the way, I really want a dress like the woman in this painting has on.

I LOVE THIS ONE!!! Although I generally feel more like hiding on a ladder at work than I do at home, I'm sure as I have more kids I will feel like that more and more. I love the background and I also love the chandelier!
